The 2018 International Technology Enhanced Assessment Conference (TEA2018) consisted of two main tracks: Research in E-Assessment and Practice in E-Assessment. The conference seeks to connect the research and development communities.

About the contributions

We were inviting proposals for paper presentations and posters addressing technology enhanced assessment through one of the following themes:

  • E-Assessment Quality
  • E-Assessment Methodologies
  • E-Assessment Technologies

We were interested in research papers and practice/development papers in which best practices are presented of technology-based formative or summative assessment in schools, higher education, informal learning and workplace learning.

Submission formats

The conference welcomed papers in different formats for both tracks:

For the conference and Springer proceedings:

  • Research Papers (14-18 pages)
  • Round Table (minium 3 Research papers) 
  • Practice Papers with scientific background including a case study / evaluation (14-18 pages)

For the conference only:  

  • (Practice) Posters  
  • Roundtable (minimum 2 presentations)

Please address the following aspects in your paper/poster:

  • For research papers: Theoretical framework, Central research goal(s), Problem(s) and/or question(s), Research methods, Results, Main conclusions and Implication to research and practice.
  • For practice papers: Problem description, Challenges, Main questions or problem statement related to your case, Solutions, Evaluation of solution, Main conclusion and Contribution to practice/technology.
  • For practice posters: Problem description, Challenges, Main questions or problem statement related to your case, Solutions, Evaluation of solution, Main conclusion and Contribution to practice/technology/theory.
    For the first submission deadline of 27 august, an outline of the poster with a maximum of 350 words, excluding a maximum of three references, is required. After acceptance of the outline, the authors are requested to turn the outline into a full poster in the size of A0 to be uploaded to EasyChair one week in advance of the conference. The poster has to be printed by the authors themselves. At the conference, poster boards to stick the posters to will be provided.
